Bumblesnaps

A hard winter ?

I was always told that a bumper crop of berries in the autumn was the sign of an extra-cold winter.
Can’t say I’ve ever noticed if that’s true, but these pyracantha berries were a cheerful sight on another cold morning. And a cheerful sound was the lovely song of a nearby robin singing his little heart out at the very top of a very tall tree. I hadn’t actually seen a robin for weeks, so I was delighted to realise that what I’d thought was a dead leaf sticking up from a branch was actually a little bird. So delighted that I took a totally pathetic picture ( extra ).
