Flax Flowers……

…….. waiting for tui or bellbirds to come along and steal the pollen……. There are a number of different varieties of New Zealand flax (Phormium tenacity) growing amongst the New Zealand native plantings beside the Taylor River. I love the red tones in these flowers, I will endeavor to photograph the differing flaxes over the next few weeks. We had a tiny amount of rain late this morning. A mere token amount of raim ..
