10 Rees Piece

This is my friend Ann in front of their house. A very beautiful eco development in bishops castle. They have some beautiful trees in the grounds and an allotment. Today they took me out for an early birthday lunch, birthday not till January 7th. We went to a lovely spa just outside Ludlow called Fishwell Manor. Before we went they gave me my birthday present which was an anthology of nature poems curated by a poet who has a poetry pharmacy in the town and who has signed the book to me. I had unbeknowingly met her in the shop this morning!

A very gentle relaxed afternoon happened then it was gin and tonic time and some cheese , bread and pickles. Martin makes his own sauerkraut and kimchi and also sour dough bread all of which are delicious! Ann makes kefir. It is a very healthy household. Before the snack we did the guardian quick crossword and after dinner we played Farkle, a dice game which I taught them, no skill involved just chance!
