Wild Flag Iris

Went for a stroll around Mere Sands Wood, a 42 Acre wildlife reserve in West Lancashire created by Lancashire Wildlife Trust from disused sand extraction workings. Unfortunately the birds, mammals and insects were not cooperating today so I just enjoyed the peace and quiet and photographed the flowers.
The lake sides were full of these yellow flag iris.
