In the rain,

A day of solid rain when I drove through puddles to meet Alison and Shona at Lochend farm shop for coffee. As always we were there forever gabbing away. I'd brought some books I wanted rid of and picked up some new ones.  There's a nice little corner with donated books being sold for charity. .I found a very pretty hardback copy of Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby so I'll be donating my paperback copy next time I visit.  Eventually we left with rain still pouring down. I stuck to the main roads going home as there was so much water lying everywhere.  In spite of the deluge there were birds at the feeders, mainly sparrows, goldfinches and blue tits. I think it's going to be a wet weekend.
