Late spring

Normally the peonies are over and done with by the end of May.

Here we are more than half way through June and the blooms have opened.

My mother gave me this plant in 1986 and she got the tubor from her mother. I have a photo of my niece beside the peony in 1967 when she was 3.

So it must be at least 50 years old.
