No bus walk

Backblip.  As some of us were singing in the nativity for the primary school after lunch we couldn't go too far this morning, so a walk around St Ives Estate was planned. I got caught by a neighbour on the way out so was running late. I let the others know to go on without me. I had a walk around the mansion and then around Coppice Pond. I had remembered to take some swan and duck food, and when I opened my bag I was suddenly completely surrounded by ducks! I fed as many as I could and then moved on around the lake where I fed the remainder to the swans. I went into the bird hide and was joined by a lady and her dog. The dog growled and we turned round to see the swans congregating at the entrance to the hide. The lady shot off, but they don't bother me and weren't aggressive. I walked through them and wandered on to the Ivy Kitchen to await the others. Refreshments done we returned to the village and 3 of us went off to the Congs to entertain the children. It was the Reception class and they were very cute and seemed to enjoy every minute.  1 nativity down, 2 to go on Wednesday.
