Complicated lilies

I suppose to the One Who Creates, lilies are a piece of cake, but they look complicated to me. If you were to make a lily, where would you start? With the petals? or leaves? maybe that erotic pistal or stamen?

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
