Thursday: Road Upgrade

I was out the office all day at a road inspection.  I should add that I’m not a civil engineer and don’t know anything about road construction but we’re paying for it, so I got to go along to have a look.  

It involves a sorely needed upgrade of a road near Orange Walk as well as a new bypass. 

It’s still a long way off being entirely safe here though.  There’s been a spate of bad accidents recently so the government is bringing in two new laws in March: having to wear seatbelts in the back and not using mobile phones while driving.  

I thought both were no brainers.
