Step back in time

Meeting friends (former colleagues) in York today I found time to nip into The Yorkshire Museum to see another old friend.
It must be 40 years or more since I first saw this wonderful mosaic there. The next time I went it had been mounted in a huge frame and was hidden away on the wall of a hardly used staircase (I was horrified). Now it has pride of place among a wealth of Roman exhibits and even better if you take your shoes off you can walk on it. I was delighted to do so.
And a wonderful lunch with my buddies :-).
