Baa Humbug!
Today we visited our friends M and P who live in Salisbury. We walked into the city centre to visit the National Trust property, Mompesson House, which is currently beautifully decorated to represent Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", with each room depicting a different scene from the story. My first extra shows the library dressed as Dickens's study.
Then we went on to St Thomas's church where the annual Christmas Tree festival was being held in aid of local charities. Over ninety trees were on display, each one created by a different organisation within Salisbury and surrounding villages. My second extra shows a general view, while the main blip shows a sheep on the tree decorated by children from a pre-school.
After that, we got soaking wet walking back in the rain to our friends' 'house, but soon recovered with home made soup and apple crumble!
Very good to catch up with them despite the inclement weather.
