NLV Pole Star

Vessel built in 2000 as a lighthouse tender by the Ferguson shipyard of Port Glasgow for the Northern Lighthouse Board which maintains lighthouses on the coasts of Scotland and the Isle of Man. Here snapped at Custom House Quay Greenock as friends and I exited the Beacon Arts Centre having had lunch. We had earlier visited the Watt Institute museum and art gallery in Greenock with its outstanding display of ship models and maritime ephemera relating to the many yards and marine engineering companies of that town
