Can a yellow relative of Iris be a Blue-eyed grass? Yes, everything is possible in the world of vernacular names. Any way - this lovely Sisyrhynchium californicum surprised us by flowering today. We planted it in our mini-pond about a month ago. Apparently it likes to stand with its roots in shallow water.
