Birthday Trip

After my opticians Appmt today I was picked up by JW & we went down to South Queensferry.

When I first got up couldn't hardly see the neighbours with the frosty sea haar then when I was out about 10ish the sun was coming out but struggled to see with low sun icy glare.

Black ice roads & pavements but once onto the rougher path was better. The sand was frozen & crunchy when walking along.

Went out to Hound Point then round to near Barnbougle Castle then back along the sand.

It was nice when in the sun but chilly when not & had to be careful with the slippery bits.

Stopped back in South Queensferry and had Fish'n'chips & a pot of tea.

Another look at the Bridges then dropped off home with goodies.

Going to watch Shetland on TV tonight with a bit of cake & hot chocolate.

Forth Bridge engineering masterpiece! Great to go across on the train, under by boat & stand & enjoy as a photographer - the weather improved by time we got here & faded by time we came back.
