At last....

For months, my neighbour has been hounding the town to come and trim some damaged branches off the tree in front of her house...it is not her tree - it is on town property - but it does hang over her lawn and driveway, and a falling limb could wreak havoc. Well, today was the day..and I could see her out there giving them a piece of her mind! 

She hates that tree..not all trees, but that one in particular...and it isn't really the tree, it's what the tree drops onto her property..armies of helicopter maple keys, and leaves that stubbornly hold on until just hours before the last yard-waste pick-up day! Methinks that perhaps the tree senses her animosity toward it and enjoys getting its revenge? 

But, at least for now, it seems a truce has been declared. The cracked limbs and broken branches have finally been removed, so that's one worry gone, and the season of raking leaves has passed. Peace for now, but we can bet that the battle will begin again when those maple keys fly...
