High Water

The weather today was very cold but bright and sunny so, as the forecast for tomorrow is very wet, we made the most of the day.  A good walk around town, some Christmas shopping and a very nice lunch in a cafe, Partisan, that we've used several times before.  As we walked into town from our hotel we noticed the river was high and coming over the banks and onto the quayside.  It's been considerably higher in the past and indeed, we've seen it flooding some of the quayside buildings but it's still quite a sight.  This was the view from the bridge.

The hotel wi-fi has allowed me to add extras today so there are two; the first is a view of Jupiter this morning from our hotel window, and the second a view along one of the York streets.
