Reminder of My Youth

Friend shared this with me tonight. We both have fond memories of drinking this when we were both much younger.
Its funny how we remember longer, hotter summers and our memories are fuelled by many aspects but smell is very powerful at evoking memories long forgotten. This makes me think of a musty old newsagent fitted out with old wooden cupboards, hardly any natural light and sawdust on the floor. They sold Dandelion & Burdock in half pint glasses as well as Sasparilla and there was always someone in there having a glass and a gossip. When you left the building the sunlight hurt your eyes as it was dark and dank inside....Im not painting a Farrow & Ball, idyllic picture but its amazing what a smell or taste can bring to the fore as a memory.
