Getting Knotted
Back to the seaside, with a spectacular of Knots - part of a much longer ribbon of the birds as it wound above the mudflats of the Severn Estuary.
Its hard to know how to present this sort of mass movement in photographic terms. I could have used a wider lens, but then all the individual birds involved get lost. On the other hand by zooming into the flock as I have done, inevitably there are some birds "chopped" in half by the picture edges.
There's an extra of a group of lapwings. I've still got 8 extras left and I'm trying to use them all up this year!
