The musicians of Bremen

This famous statue stands by the Cathedral in Bremen and illustrates the tale of the same name by the Grimm brothers.

The four characters standing one on top of the other are the donkey, the dog, the cat and the rooster.

Its quite tricky to take an interesting picture of this for the same reason that I had problems with The Little Mermaid in Copenhagen last week. This close up wide angle shot seems to work.

I also took a nice shot of a heron today but decided to blip this as it's more relevant to what we have been doing.

I dont know what the weather is like in the UK but its an absolutely sweltering 29 degrees here and forecast to be even hotter tomorrow. We have decided to do a long drive all the way to Calais tomorrow and catch the tunnel back a day earlier than planned so we should be back on Thursday.
