Findhorn, the village where Joshua and Tiana married was today’s destination for Mrs S, Sam and I accompanied by Paddy for a beach run out.
Findhorn is in Findhorn Bay, a village with a population of around 900 people who make this beautiful coastal town their home.
The miles of white sandy beachfront that surround the bay make it a picture postcard destination. This small coastal village gets its name from the river that naturally flows out onto the Moray Firth – The River Findhorn.
We enjoyed a breakfast in the cafe looking over the glassy sea surface, different weather awaited us as we stepped outdoors, driving wind and decent sized hailstones.
It seemed strange to be spending Joshua’s birthday in Joshua’s home without Joshua but we got to speak to him and wish him a “Very Happy Birthday”. As much as we feel the -6* cold I can only imagine what it is like for him with a -26* average daily temperature.

In the evening Mrs S, Sam and I discovered the joys of the Exploding Minions card game.
