Western Blue Tongued Skink

We had lunch at the Africa Bistro Restaurant in Chameleon Village, Hartbeespoort this afternoon! It is such a lovely place!

While waiting for our food to arrive, a man from the Reptile Park on the premises came to our table with this beauty in his hands! R jnr held it for me to blip it! R says it feels very funny to hold, it is not actually cold, but it feels so soft and fat, the skin is really smooth as well! I cannot find anything worth wile on any South African sites, but this one on Wikipedia is describing it just like the park owner did, so, I am sure this is the same one.

After lunch we wandered through the whole 'paradise', saw beautiful little puppies and finally convinced R snr that we must get a new puppy!! Yippieeeee!

He refused to replace Fielies and Vlooi (Afrikaans for Flee), because he did not want us to go through the same agony of losing a pet ever again! Although we still have dear old Diefenbaker, but he is a big dog and lives outside in the yard.

We browsed the Internet at home later in the afternoon and found a well reputed breeder in Cullinan, East of Pretoria, she has new born miniature Chihuahuas, like Vlooi, which will be available on 10th August, so, tomorrow is the BIG day, we are going there before lunch to choose our new puppy!

R jnr is ecstatic! Will blip the puppies tomorrow! :- ))) Can't show you a broad enough smile!!!!
