Into the Blue
Another gorgeous day in West Cork, crisp and cold and sunny. I nipped into Bantry to stock up on epsom salts and moseyed down to the pier where it was all happening:two kayakers just heading out into the bay, a man drying himself off after swimming (10C today, eek), a lorry waiting for the ferry to Whiddy island and people with dogs walking on the strand.
The water pump is just about fitted- we were troubled with a low flow last night but M has now sorted out and we have the full gush! Reggie the wood burner was tested and is glowing nicely.
I'm making a stilton and celery flan for supper now and may be chatting with the Professor of Holy Wells in Tennessee later. That's plenty of excitement for one day.
Rain warnings for tomorrow :(
