Wave Drought
Back home to hear the surf has been flat while we were away (shown here). One local described it as a "Wave Drought". The effect of small waves is that they bring sand from offshore onto the beach thus building it up (constructive waves). The Extra show the "Wurtulla Rocks" almost covered in sand and the ability to walk around them where the surf would normally break (about 5 feet of extra sand at this spot). The extra sand is good if a cyclone swell hits later this summer (our big wave season).....
