A Productive Day
Everyone slept in a bit today. Driving on those terribly curved uneven roads tires out the body. We enjoyed watching the birds today; so many varieties. There were over 25 purple finches. I addressed all of my Christmas cards. As you can see, Sugar provided moral support and warmed my toes. Made me sad to get to the point name of family member or friend who passed this year. We lost nine in 2023. My sister and I finalized our packages to go to Germany. We hope to mail them tomorrow or Wednesday. I put the final touches on our Christmas letter and found photos from 2023 to tell the story. Hardest part was remembering how to transfer the photos to a Word file. I am the only Mac user so the crew was no help. Hubby and our BIL went for a few ATV rides since the skies were clear and temps moderate. My sister wrapped gifts for our neighbor. We did a few loads of laundry. Our BIL is making a delicious ham, kale and potatoes dinner. Hubby is adjusting the photos in my letter. We all hope to just chill after dinner. It feels so good to have completed all the jobs I planned for the day. One of you mentioned we are always busy. We all get 24 hours each day. Gotta fill it some way. We like staying busy. Sure hope you are satisfied with your day. My daughter just texted to say our mother’s neighbor passed today (no. 10). He was a childhood play mate of my cousins and me. He just recently moved back to our county. I know we are “at that age now” but dang, do so many have to leave in one year? Thanks for dropping by. Be safe. “My perfect day is to wake up with all kinds of energy and enthusiasm for the day, have a list of what I want to achieve, and at the end of the day look in the mirror and think man, this has been perfect. Everything I planned became a reality.” - Dick Vitale
