A torture chamber? A scene from 50 Shades? (I've never read it so that is purely prurient speculation) No, this is part of the gym equipment at The Climbing Hanger in Sheffield, which I studiously avoid in the same way as I do people coughing and Drill music!
I really enjoy my sessions at the Hanger but I confine myself to trying the various problems which have been set by the expert climbers / route setters. I'm very happy that people take advantage of all the equipment, but it's not for me!
