Steaming

Yesterday evening, just to make sure we didn't forget we were living in northern Europe, we had rain for an hour.
Today we wake up to 21C (at 6:30, that's inhuman) and now the air is hot and humid and generally schwül (but not schwul*) Logan is panting like a demented steam train but has yet to decamp to the cellar and I'm trying to put off doing anything that involves moving out of the shade.


* that umlaut makes a world of difference - schwül = sultry/muggy/oppressive and schwul = gay/homosexual. With an umlaut you need to pout, the only time German gets sexy!
