Sunday: Walmart

Well, we felt very rock and roll today.  We went to Mexico for lunch (and a bit of shopping).  It was a pre-Christmas trip with S&G (of Corkers).  They came by at 7am and we were on the road soon thereafter, given it was a three hour drive up to Chetumal.  The land border was smooth enough and Chetumal is just about 20 minutes north of that.

We bought a stack of stuff we can’t get here (cheese, lemons, jasmine rice etc) and then went for fajitas.  It’s a long journey for a day trip but it was very enjoyable.

Two additions to yesterday’s blip - pricing is in Belizean $, which is 2:1 to the US$, so not as expensive as it seems.

On my hand, S&G took one look at it today and both said ‘doctor fly’.  K said my hand looked like a cow’s udder - I think it was partly the look and the fact I was milking it.  Anyway, it’s better, less hot and itchy.
