Lots of snow

The temperature rose, so it snowed!!! About 10 -15cms  of snow overnight. The only signs of life seen were the paw prints of the neighbourhood black cat doing his morning prowl. 

I dressed the big Christmas tree on the landing and tried to find places for the rest of the decorations. We used to have a fireplace in the old house, but don’t in this one. Lots of strays to re home!!! 

We had planned to go to the Carol service In Ashbourne this evening, the church that we went to last Sunday, but felt that it wasn’t safe to be out on the roads in this weather. The journey takes about 20 mins at the best of times, much longer today.
