Boars head for supper?

This morning I needed to get some fresh air so as it was not raining I cycled via Bushy Park to Hampton Court palace. There was a Christmas Fair on with lots of stalls which I looked round quickly as I wasn’t planning to buy anything..but did buy one Anniversary card I needed so no need to visit a shop. The majority of the visitors were obviously there for the fair so today anyone just coming to look round the palace would have had a good quiet experience this morning. I was amazed to find the kitchens deserted…as per the photo. There was just one couple talking to the two ‘servants’ who had already lit the fire. A very realistic boars head and mostly fresh accessories. It is just over  two miles from my house and on the way back I cycled on the road….a queue of cars going into Kingston…I cycled past over 90!  

This afternoon I have been sorting out our Christmas trees. We have a very old artificial one in the lounge which, unlike more modern ones, is made up of six branches on six levels which all have to be fixed together first! Two smaller ones for the hall and dining area are out and lights working but decorations may have to wait until tomorrow.
