Focus Friday

I had nothing on my calendar today. Probably because it’s a new job… that being said it was nice to get some stuff done. I took off a bit early and made curry for dinner. Mindy was out this evening meeting with her professor to get some help with scaling some of her medieval village models.
I’ve been watching a new series called For All Mankind. It’s an alternate history where the Soviet Union beats the US to the moon. I’m really enjoying it. One of the consequences it postulates is that the US would have chosen a progressive president after Nixon and made quicker social justice progress with regard to feminism in order to compete with the Soviets. I’m obviously leaving out details but I really enjoy the way alternate histories can help us envision alternate futures.
