On the first day of winter

I was helping my parents run a quiz last night. We stepped out of the hall at the end to find it had snowed! It seems winter arrived overnight. I got up this morning to a beautiful snowy garden and had to take my camera out to play.

Later that morning mum and I went to a carol concert in the village church which was really beautiful. 

I ended up leaving much later than planned but still managed to get a few useful things done this afternoon so I am feeling very satisfied with my day.
