"the pipes are calling"

Looks like crossing my fingers and toes for the sunny weather to hang around until the weekend worked! I took a stroll into town and my ears pricked up to a familiar sound....

....Dundee Boys Brigade Pipe Band were putting on a small march and display alongside a visiting band outside the Caird Hall.

It was lovely to listen to both bands and after ringing mum and dad to let them listen in over the phone, I realised that this was perfect practice to get my ears trained back up into hearing marching bands in time for the 12th July parades back home in N.Ireland! :)

However the lovely sunny weather didn't last long! :( The rain eventually found me in the late afternoon but I was still able to join my flatmate Alan and his friends for a BBQ and a night of banter!
