White and heavy

When we got up today, we could see a wonderful snowy landscape. However, the snow was not as powdery as we had hoped (temperature only around zero degrees) and two of our large trees in the garden suffered badly. The wig tree has fallen completely and the Kolreuteria has had some thick branches torn off (unfortunately including the main shoot). We then went out with poles to shake as much of the snow load off the trees and bushes as possible.

It continued to snow all day and the temperatures are now expected to drop. The forecast for the night is -9 degrees Celsius.
