Time

Time is cruel.
Going through the paperwork. Draining. Talking to companies to cancel accounts, arrange legal services, arrange a funeral….

But also going through a treasure trove of photos and memories. Photos of my mum as a teenager, of my dad at sea, of them together. Of my brother. God he was adorable. And of me. In my school uniform. I think I’m about 15 here.
