A walk in Glen Howe Park

Belatedly I've been picking up the threads of the volunteer photography I've done for a couple of arts organisations, recording 'public art' works.
The local visual arts project still has some gaps to fill in its online map of items.  Glen Howe Park, on Sheffield's northern edge, has three pieces of work, and this bright, crisp morning seemed a perfect time to visit them.
This is the 'Tobhta Shelter', by Ian Boyle.  People tend to see it as the slightly enigmatic remains of some kind of ancient farm-related structure. But in fact it was made in 2003, using dry stone walling techniques, and it was deliberately designed to blend into the landscape.
I was sad to see that one end of the semi-circular structure has 'blended in' a bit more drastically than the artist might have hoped... either there's been some deliberate damage, or the weather has taken its toll. You can see the details in the extra. I went and sat inside the structure for a while, enjoying the view of the trees beyond, still showing patches of warm colour. We haven't had snow, but the heavy frost was pretty.
