Experimenting

Today I had a wee venture into the unknown and made a pâté for the first time. Smoked mackerel... well, I had some in the fridge and was trying to figure out what I could do with it. 

I do buy it occasionally, so why not?

It has turned out well, but I do have quite a lot of it. The recipe indicates that it can keep in the fridge for a few days, so maybe it is one of these things it is useful to have around for a quick snack. 

The only other ingredients were mascarpone and a lime - juice and zest. Oh, and dill because I still have some in the garden. 

Anyway, that is November over and done with.
