Blue-tailed Damselfly (Ischnura elegans) female

A few weeks ago I promised I would post the other female colourways of the Blue-tailed Damselfly.
I think today's blip is of the most beautiful of all the colours, the violet form violacea.
The edge of the boating lake at Southwater Country Park is allowed to go to rough grassland, with very tall flowering grasses which are alive with different damselflies. By far the most common are the Blue tails, and amongst them are quite a few of these beautiful coloured forms.
I think she is really beautiful, I hope you will agree
