Wednesday morning with Simone
Jack has two assignments due in a week's time for his MA in Documentary Photography. So it's all hands on deck to help him finish them in time. In his and Marianna's current routine of very broken nights, the need for help is greater than usual. I still remember working on my PhD when Ruth was tiny ... and the challenge of trying to produce coherent written work after a night pacing the floor with a restless baby. Still, I got there, and so will Jack.
This week we'd booked in a couple of half-days for me and Simone to spend together. She is gradually getting used to Nana visits, though when she's really hungry only Marianna can really settle her, with a breast-feed. There's definitely a twinkle in the eye here. Perhaps she knows that she can outmanoeuvre any amount of printed sleep advice :-)
