Nearly there

Busy day today. Back in Cockermouth but without Bonnie this time and no time for a walk in the lakes either.

This is a bud from my bowl of beauty peony which should be out in the next day or so. The shrub is full of buds so looking forward to seeing the flowers. Strange.... but the buds have had lots of ants on them which seem to disappear when the bud starts to open. I've also got a red one with ants on the buds too, wonder why?

I gave myself a sore head earlier, saw stars when I banged it getting into the car, have no idea how it happened, duh!!
