Oystercatcher and thrift

The cliff-tops were awash in colour today with the pink of thrift, red campion, white sea campion, blue spring squill and yellow of buttercups and birds-foot trefoil with lots of silver y moths flying around them.
I went along to Deerness and down to Point of Ayre. Fog had rolled in but only lasted a half-hour before the sun burnt it off and the sun shone. Shags had chicks and there were masses of eider ducklings. A few puffins on the sea but none which wanted its portrait taken.
