Masked Lapwing

There are a few of these attractive birds that hang around the local ferry terminal though they are shy and usually dash off if they spot a human.

I'm posting this as a series of large thunderstorms bear down on a huge swathe of south-east Queensland, with my place in Brisbane right in the path. I'm making sure I get photo upladed ahead of potential power interruptions. I do like thunderstorms though, and Australia does them on a grand scale.
