Patterns & Reflections

A busy day, so went out in the garden with the longer lens hoping to make a quick, easy, catch, maybe a robin or blackbird. What drew my attention, however, were the patterns on the water lying in the shallow channels around the slightly raised shrub border. The channels are full of leaves & have been flooded on & off for several weeks - as soon as they drain it rains again. The lens did have a polarising filter on it - I'd been using it for something else & hadn't bothered to remove it - & it seems to have blocked some reflections & allowed the surface film patterns around the partially submerged leaves to show through more clearly.
