Dawn's Journal

By DawnP

After my watercolour class today (all about patterns), I stopped off at Swinley Forest on the way home for a quick lunch and walk.  The forest is mainly coniferous and at this time of year the forest floor is just bursting with fungi growing through the pine needles.

I spotted this aging brittlegill, or russula complete with a tiny passenger on the side of the path, but had some trouble identifying it further due to the red stem, however, I believe it is a bloody brittlegill.  Whatever it is it is my entry, with its tiny companion, for today's Tiny Tuesday challenge.
