Tate Modern
Whenever I’m staying in London I take a walk along the river to the Tate Modern, and check out what’s on in the Turbine Hall. Today it was some suitably huge artworks by an artist from Ghana, El Anatsui. These pieces hang from ceiling to floor, and yet are made of bottle tops, the foils from the necks of bottles, and similarly small pieces of “rubbish“. The three works are all interesting as individual pieces, all beautiful, though in different ways, and work so well together.
As I’m sure you realise I was very impressed. So was the Guardian’s Jonathan Jones as you can read here.
