Gunwalloe natural abstract

It's been a day of very mixed weather.  It was raining as we set off to Gunwalloe with a wonderful rainbow over a tree in the carpark.  We scampered down to the nearest beach.  The tide was out with rather a lots of exposed rock to clamper over if we wanted to get to the sea edge.  We decided to stay and photograph the beautiful exposed rocks with their lovely shapes and colours.  In fact we spent a couple of hours here.  It rained on and off, the sun came out and we actually got very warm as it was fairly sheltered.  We then visited the Gunwalloe Church Cove with views across the small bay to a distant hotel on the cliffs, see extra.

Next on our itinerary was Porthleven where we had lunch and a coffee while it was raining.  It was windier here and we headed past the harbour to  the sea.  The tide was coming in with some glorious high waves that two groups of surfers were enjoying.  The light at times was beautiful with golden reflections in the sea against a dark sky.  We caught a few hints of red during sunset and then headed back home.

I enjoyed an evening meal with the remaining members of our group, the last meal as we all head back home tomorrow.  Its been a very enjoyable trip with great photo opportunities.
