Bacon & Eggs

I had to drive out to Scales Farm in Embleton today. Our guests have been eating a lot of scrambled eggs & omelettes, so we needed some fresh eggs urgently. This hen had flown over the fence and was scrabbling around in the yard. What a job I had trying to get a shot of it, they never stop moving. I had to set the camera to macro and use it wide angle to have any chance. As it was, I just missed the left hand side of it's comb. Considering the hen was only a couple of centimeters away from the lens, it's amazing that it's so sharp. I just love the chortling pig in the background. I reckon that sets the picture off.
