Beauty is all around us.

Hunter and Holly .

The Feast Day of Saint James the Persian. 4th Century martyr.
It is a cold, rainy, dull overcast morning.
The Green recycling bin is being emptied for the last time this year. Just as well we found a dry interlude yesterday to prune the orange rose and hydrangeas. The bin is full. Many paths are waterlogged as I went to buy the paper. Starlings were gathering on a sloping roof in great numbers.
In the afternoon I went to Lisa's Den our card and gift shop on Rishton High Street. I bought two boxes of Christmas cards. One set had an image of Mother Mary and baby Jesus and the others were the Three Wise Men. It is quite a walk from our house to the centre of Rishton but I needed some exercise.
Paul andxme watched Escape to the Country. Then we planted some Spring bulbs in window boxes. Oxalis, anemones and allium. It was freezing cold but worthwhile planting them and placing them in the shed.
These photos were taken last evening when the dear cats came out from hiding and were very lively. They were jumping up on tables and chairs, chasing a toy ball with a bell in it and generally having good fun.
I hope you have a lovely day blip friends and thank you for visiting my site.
