IT'S MOTORHEAD SUNDAY

Today's submission is the McKee MK.6.    It's a fantastic little turbine powered car and was shot during the WIC (Weathertech International Challenge) last July at Road America.  It's the custom that a Concours d'Elegance event is staged in the Village of Elkhart Lake after racing on Friday.  All the race cars drive into town (under police supervision) and line up along the streets where the race fans can get an up-close and personal look at them.  The drivers are right there and are eager to engage with the fans in racing conversation.

The normal human population of Elkhart Lake is roughly 900 and change.  During this event, it is typical that the visitors may top 10,000.  It is an unbelievable spectacle and if you're claustrophobic this is not the place for you...it's elbow-to-elbow and beer is everywhere.  The parade into town doesn't start until 17:30 but people are already staking out their site at noon.  If you wait until 17:00 to arrive you'll be parking and walking to town from miles away.
