Walk leaders deemed ground too boggy to go on intended route of fields and moor - walk around back streets and ginnels of Whitby substituted - walked along Cinder Track to Pannett Park - West Cliff - back streets to the harbour - up to Abbey via *the yards* - and down the199 steps therefrom - back into the town - these sights seen on route - a grand urban route in good company
