A Big Surprise

Today was cold but a beautiful sunny day. I dug up weeds and cut off dead leaves.  I saw two flowers blooming. What???? Hellebore flowers usually bloom in Spring and early Summer, so what is it doing blooming now; it froze last night!!!! I cut the flowers and put them in a vase and, of course, I took this photo. 

I cleaned all the gutters I could reach on a 3-step stool,  they were clogged with leaves and overflowing. My husband was supposed to arrange to have them cleaned which he promised to do by Monday, but they are half done now so I hope the cost will be less.  :-))
